LECTURES

HOW DO I GET THERE FROM HERE - EVERY QUILTER'S JOURNEY
We all have to start somewhere! This light and lively trunk show shares both triumphs and tragedies learned in the natural growth process of quiltmaking. This show includes 40 or more of Gail's spectacular quilts and wearable art. This is her favorite lecture!

SIMPLY SPECTACULAR STARS
Slides and a trunk show -- what more could you ask for!
This lecture tells the tale of eight women who accepted the challenge to create an original design star quilt for Gail's book, "Spectacular Stars". See the quilts, learn the process, and hear the stories of the close bond formed by the women who worked on this project. Through sharing their experiences, you too, will learn much about design, drafting, color selection, and more.

SPIRAL MIGRATIONS - PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER
This slide lecture and small trunk show features the latest work of Gail and friends, "Designing Women." See how she goes about creating and stitching those seemingly impossible designs.
It's much easier than you think!

MARINER'S COMPASS

HEXAGONAL STARS - A DESIGNER'S DELIGHT
Try a quilt with a different angle. They can look very complex, but actually are amazingly easy. The pattern used for this class is "North Star," a block repeat pattern with only four pieces in each block! In this class the triangle is the "block" of the quilt design. Make the wall quilt shown on the North Star pattern cover, or use the coloring sheets to design your own. Even beginners are successful with this class, and the variety of possible designs is endless.

All Skill Levels; 1 Day Class; 6 Hours. $6 Materials Fee per Student
