FLYING FUN WITH FREE-FORM SHAPES
First there was the Flying Goose.  It flew on the straight and narrow until the day it suddenly veered off-course and flew in a random, meandering way.  It was then that Gail met up with the wayward goose who complained that she wanted to be free from tradition and liberated to follow her own path.  Join Gail on a journey of all things that fly! (Includes material from her upcoming book, Flying Colors)

LIBERALISM IN QUILTING: FREE-FORM ART QUILTS
Never one to adhere to rules, I began breaking the quilting edicts soon after I learned the basics necessary to create an original design.  Problems with bindings on corners?  Just leave the corners off! Its fun and easy to be your own designer, and to break away from the tedium of repetitive block design.  Gail will lead you on a journey of exploration, from the valley of tradition, along the rocky road of great ideas gone wrong, to the rainbow peaks of increased creativity in quilts!

HOW DO I GET THERE FROM HERE - EVERY QUILTER'S JOURNEY
We all have to start somewhere!  This light and lively lecture shares both triumphs and tragedies learned in the natural growth process of quiltmaking.  It shows the progression from Gail’s early quilting days as a traditional quilter, through her experimentation phase, and culminating in the contemporary art quilts for which she is now known.
